See the view from both sides of the fence...
Explore Both Sides of the Fence - the new online learning environment for Year 4-8 students developed by Learning Media for our clients The New Zealand Walking Access Commission.
Curriculum aligned, and with a focus on supporting inquiry-based, critical thinking in students, Both Sides of the Fence aims to build awareness about responsible outdoor behaviour, and an understanding of the sometimes differing points of view about access.
This student-facing learning environment offers a range of features to engage young people, backed by teacher support materials. Features include an online eBook, an Explore map with hidden videos for students to discover, and an In My Region gallery where students can contribute their own pictures and stories about outdoor places special to them. It has been developed as a multi-platform resource, utilising html5 to ensure it can be viewed on computers, interactive whiteboards, and mobile devices including iPads.
